ELDERBERRY SYRUP — Better than a flu shot! Make it part of your wellness routine during the cold and flu season!! Making it yourself is easy and will keep you in a state of wellness!
1/2 cup organic dried elderberries ( I buy them on Amazon)
3 cups filled water
3 cinnamon sticks
1 inch ginger root, peeled and sliced or grated
3/4 cup raw unfiltered honey
mix all ingredients into a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Let mixture cool completely and then add 3/4 cup raw honey. Mix well and store in an air tight bottle in the refrigerator. Use one TBS for adults or 1 tsp for children over 5 3 times a day at the onset of cold or flu symptoms! This is great for immunity boosting too!
